We took to the streets of Copenhagen to snap some pictures of the locals and ask them about life, love and music. Hannah Gutkauf works at Storm Fashion, is an e-commerce expert and loves to listen to nonfiction podcasts. This is her story.
Meet Hannah Gutkauf.
Hannah’s the e-commerce manager at Storm – a leading Copenhagen fashion store. She is responsible for the online store that carries brands such as Céline, Comme Des Garcons, Givenchy, Kitsuné, Pigalle – and even a bit of B&O PLAY too.
Originally from Vienna, Austria, Hannah Gutkauf never envisioned herself staying in Denmark for a long period. It’s been 4 years and counting since she started at Storm – and she tells us that she normally stays a place for a couple of years and then moves on to new adventures. Love changed all that as she met her boyfriend up here – and stayed put. She’s even enrolling at Copenhagen University next year, so perhaps she’s here for good?
We snapped a few pictures of Hannah inside the store and in the nearby Storm office down the street, the place where she handles most of her business during the week.
Hannah is wearing a Céline cardigan, paired with second-hand pants and sweater found at Studio Travel on Nørrebro – a favourite shopping spot of hers, run by a dear friend and specialized in importing vintage gems from Italy. On her wrist you’ll notice a TRIWA & Storm gold watch, her feet sporting shoes from & Other Stories – and a pair of BeoPlay H2 Silver Clouds around her neck, bringing the sounds of the day.
Normally you’ll find Hannah listening to endless amounts of podcasts, especially on e-commerce and economics as she’s fascinated by bridging art and fashion with retail on a digital level. Her favourite radio station is Ö1 and their shows “Radiokolleg” and “Matrix – Computer and neue Medien” – but she is also a big fan of Michael Köhlmeier, in particular his interpretation of ancient greek myths.
When she’s not deep into her nonfiction, Hannah listens to playlists from her friends. She loves to listen to other peoples playlists “because you really get to know people by listening to their favourite music”. She smiles. At work when focus is essential Hannah will put on her headphones and listen to the official Storm playlist. “It’s perfect for that, and as it is constantly changing, it’s always relevant.”
