H6 Special Edition
To launch the H6 special edition we teamed up with the people from Dansk Magazine and had Creative Director Uffe Buchard style three looks for the photo shoot. During the shoot we had a chance to hear Uffe’s thoughts about fashion, the three looks and headphones.

Q: Could you talk about the colours that we are seeing in fashion this season?

Uffe: Fashion has gone from a few seasons of safe, quiet and minimal to an all-over current mood of playfulness, bright new experiments and a very strong use of colour. We have seen a lot of new talent in fashion – even young designers taking over the creative reign at classic fashion houses – and the creative juices are flowing like never before in a new positive fashion environment. There is a strong focus on the use of alternative materials and a will to combine couture silhouettes with a modern sportswear feeling in order to actually create garments that have never been seen before. It’s all about looking different.

Q: How do the three different looks relate to the looks of the fashion capitals?

Uffe: The Red Look is Paris. For me Paris is Dior, Balenciaga, Chanel and still the home of the highest level in fashion and Haute Couture. Paris is about classic Vogue, sophisticated beauty, old school posing and being tres chic. This city is just as much about the past as the future.

And Paris is the only city in the world where you can wear burning red lips on a Tuesday morning on the metro without anyone lifting an eyebrow. Red is the colour of passion and for me the true colour of Paris.

For me London means Sex Pistols, Westwood, Debbie Harry and McQueen. London is the cradle of new, never-seen-before talent and the breeding ground for unspoiled creativity. London was never about looking good, but always about looking new. A place where hard-core subcultures and British eccentricity live side by side and create crazy contrasts. Being the home of punk culture nothing will shock a real Londoner. Blue hair, anyone? No problem! Anything goes in the mix. New York is all about sports wear, leisure, Calvin Klein and the Lower East Side life style.

And the hottest melting pot of cultures from all over the World under one roof. New York fashion is not of the sophisticated kind – this fashion is actually meant to be worn! Comfort is key. The sports element is highly implemented and so is the play on ghetto types and bling for fun. We are talking home girls here. Only in New York do I feel comfortable wearing a gold chain and a Mets cap. And only here do I start walking like a basketball star…

Q: What part does headphones play in fashion today?

Uffe: Headphones are a fashion accessory today. Just like sunglasses, bags and jewellery. What headphones you wear tell us who you are and what tribe you belong to. As most people have dualistic personalities and want to change looks from day to day – even the headphones like other key accessories change with that mood. Over the last season we have even seen an increasing number of major fashion shows in the fashion capitals using headphones in their styling in order to create the right look. Interesting where this is going. I think this is only the tip of the iceberg.
